Jaime Johansson Raises Over $180,000 From Local Supporters in First Campaign Filing
CHICO, CA — (July 2, 2025) — Since entering the race for California Assembly District 3 in mid-February, Jaime Johansson’s grassroots campaign has raised more than $180,000, with nearly every dollar coming from supporters in the district.
“This campaign is powered by you, hardworking Californians from across District 3 communities who want an experienced voice that reflects their values to represent them in Sacramento,” said Johansson. “We made a commitment early on to look within the district for support first, and you showed up.”
Johansson launched his campaign with a simple goal: prove that the people of the North State are ready for leadership that listens. Johansson raised all of his funds independently, from the ground up, with credit to his network of local supporters. From small farms to small businesses, supporters who have known him since his Oroville City Council days are stepping up to fuel a campaign focused on everyday challenges: high living costs, skyrocketing insurance, water rights and access, public safety, and protecting our farms and borders.
A first-generation farmer and past California Farm Bureau President, Johansson is no stranger to starting from the ground up. From digging irrigation lines by hand to managing orchards that supply olives across the Bay Area, he’s never forgotten where he came from. With this fundraising achievement, Johansson is boosting his efforts to engage voters across the 3rd Assembly District.
“Thank you for standing with me, your early support has helped us build the momentum to take this campaign all the way to victory,” said Johansson, “Let’s keep going.”
