Butte County Leaders Endorse Jamie Johansson for State Assembly
CHICO, Calif. (August 15, 2025)— Three respected leaders are throwing their support behind Jamie Johansson in his bid for State Assembly, citing his proven leadership, deep community roots, and commitment to public service.
Oroville Mayor David Pittman, a retired fire chief who served alongside Johansson on the Oroville City Council, praised Jamie’s ability to bring people together and tackle tough challenges.
“I’ve seen firsthand Jamie’s dedication to our community and his ability to find solutions that work,” Pittman said. “He’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves and get to work, and that’s exactly what we need representing us in Sacramento.”
Fred Holland, former Butte County Assessor, has known Johansson since his council days and has attended church with him and his family for years.
“Jamie is a man of integrity whose values are grounded in family and faith,” Holland said. “He understands the needs of our communities because he’s been here, working with us, for decades.”
Bob Eastham, former law enforcement officer and retired licensed private investigator. Eastham also served as Vice Mayor of Oroville, and endorsed Johansson, citing his public safety record and focus on local priorities.
“Jamie has always stood with law enforcement and first responders,” Eastham said. “He has the experience and the backbone to fight for the resources our communities need to stay safe.”
Johansson said he was honored to have the support of these longtime local leaders.
“These are people I’ve worked with, prayed with, and served alongside,” Johansson said. “Their trust means the world to me, and together we’ll continue working to make our communities stronger.”
